| Details: The picturesque village of Jeravna is situated in the Eastern Balkan Mountain. It is a world-famous architectural reserve. This place is of immense historical value. The region and Jeravna itself gave birth to many great Bulgarians.There are over 200 wooden houses, built before and during the Renaissance, preserved in the village. Some of them are older than the USA. The village has been inhabited since the distant past. It was a Roman province and the Thracian were its ancient inhabitants. The remains of a fortress on Summit Vida nearby are from Roman times. The Ethnological Museum in Jeravna keeps an interesting coin collection, which reveals many facts from the history of the region. The village is an excellent place for rural tourism.
